The island of honey ...

Our selection

Due to its low population density and the variety of its flora, Sardinia has quality honey which is used in the composition of most traditional desserts.

We named the Promised Land, the country where milk and honey flow ... but it is also the case of Sardinia.
The Sardinian bees benefit from a wild habitat, where the varieties of flowers and the essences are not lacking.
Landscapes of scrubland, limestone plateaus, chestnut or eucalyptus forests, the landscapes are varied on this large island ... and so are the honeys! This is why it is used in many typical desserts such as Pistiddu, Torrone, Aranzadas, or accompanying Seaddas with cheese ... Sardinia is sweet!
The Sardinian strawberry tree is a tree very widespread in the Mediterranean which has recognized medicinal virtues. Its roots are used for hypertension as well as its bark for its diuretic properties.
Its fruits are ripe at the onset of winter and are a good source of vitamin C. Its honey is rare and has a very special taste from its small bell-shaped flowers.
